Behind the Scenes: Photo Shoot

Last week, my partner in crime and I went down to the beach before work and took some knitting photos. I love these three as a photo essay set because they show the delicate procedure of readying oneself for photo-taking.

Step 1: Put on item you wish to photograph despite not being able to see because the wind has pushed all your hair in front of your face.

Step 2: The wind has stopped for 2.6 seconds, so quickly wriggle into item.

Step 3: Pull the hair you’ve half swallowed out of your mouth and you are model-ready!

The sun was lovely and hot but the wind would not let up! I’m still sorting through the photos we took (so hard to find even one where my eyes are open), so will post more soon. I will leave you with one more: this one is a bit too artsy for Etsy, methinks, but I like it all the same (eyes are closed AGAIN).

This is so true! For every great photo, there are a whole bunch behind it where the weather hasn’t behaved or someone looks like they’re eating their hair. It’s so much fun to see what goes on behind the scenes of the perfect photo.

P.S. Thanks for following my blog! 🙂
